Illustrations for Mikri Elia - Extra Virgin Olive Oil who supplied an imaginative brief telling the story, spirit and heritage of their family-run olive grove. They wanted the final design to convey the importance of environmental sustainability and respect for the ecosystem in which they farm.

The artwork also needed to be simple, use texture to create a tactile experience and adopt a colour palette to complement that of organic extra virgin olive oil.

Their olive groves are located at an altitude of 480m, maintaining traditional cultivation methods and relying on rain for irrigation. These environmental details were incorporated into earlier drafts created by hand using cardboard and a comb, watercolour, ink and wax pastel - all cobbled together digitally afterwards.
